Food Services

The Food Services Department understands that today’s student faces many changes, both inside and outside the classroom.  A fundamental need of all children and young adults is good nutrition.

The Food Service Program can assist in all areas of the State Federal Child Nutrition Program, and can be customized to fit your program’s needs.

The Food Service Program handles all phases of school lunch management.  We currently service seven school districts and Head Start, which includes Litchfield, New Hartford, Region #12, Thomaston, Plymouth/Terryville, Cornwall Consolidated and Torrington .  We also work collaboratively with the Connecticut State Department of Education Office of Child Nutrition.

We can give you information regarding any of the following areas:

  • WINSNAP (School Nutrition Accountability Program) - Software for tracking accurate reimbursement accounts. This program ensures maximum participation and revenue, and increases line speeds at the point of sale terminals.
  • Nu-menus provide a daily nutrient analysis, and complies with the nutritional guidelines of the National School Lunch Program.
  • Consulting on any area of your existing School Lunch Program:
    • Technical Assistance
    • Management
    • Menu Planning
    • Training about

Our Events Planning department handles all your meeting requirements at our Litchfield facility.
